The designer loves his faux ballerinas.
For his Fall 2011 Couture collection, Jean Paul Gaultier is another designer looking to ballet for inspiration by giving the ballerina shoe a lift. The traditional satin ballerina shoe is wrapped ribbon, mounted on a heel with such a high arch, one has to wonder how comfortable could possibly be.
