WHAT SHE’S STYLIN’: Not Rebecca Minkoff—I can’t fit into it! My dress is James Perse. I’m pretty much down to T-shirts. But I designed my shoes, so I’m representing.

FLAUNTING THE BUMP: What I’ve learned is that I look better when I wear tight clothing, rather than loose. Most women think, “I’m pregnant, I can wear a tent.” But when I wear something tight people say, “Oh my God! You look so great!” It’s opposite of what you would think.

THE MINKOFF FACTOR: The girl I design for is a downtown romantic. She’s independent, and she wants people to notice what she’s wearing, but not in a flashy way. I like it when people do a double take, rather than, “I’m wearing this label.”

PATTERN WILD: I really wanted to have many different types of prints. A lot of them are custom. I had a really amazing illustrator who does a lot of prints for McQueen do some of the prints for the line, so it was really fun to work with her.

FRIENDS IN FASHION: I’ve been really good friends with Agyness Deyn for the last four years. We met on the street through a friend. We did a bag drop off, like a drug drop off, but it was a handbag. We stayed in touch, and she’s been an incredible supporter of the brand. Anything she puts on she looks incredible. She’s not conventional at all, but she doesn’t push it into weird.

FALL FORECAST: For next season you’ll see a lot of texture and layering. There will be embellishment, but nothing too glitzy.

BIG PLANS: I’m planning on expanding into more categories of retail, but I can’t talk about it yet. You’ll hear about it in a month. A lot of people don’t know we don’t have a line of men’s bags.
