25-year-old Pauline d’Arfeuille, from Lyon, France, recently launched the vintage concept boutique Fripesketchup in Paris’ Montmartre district.

For those who need to brush up on their French, it’s a play on words: fripes means ‘second hand’, which stands in for frites, or French fries. The goal of the shop is to offer contemporary fashion, but through vintage pieces. Instead of presenting clothing in the typical vintage shop style in old suitcases or on busted furniture, Mademoiselle d’Arfeuille looks to modernism in creating a factory feel with Bauhaus details. What keeps it all contemporary is the organization by trends.
