Secondhandrose.com: Second Hand Rose is this obscure, fantastic vintage wallpaper store here in Manhattan that one hears amazing things about, but never visits until, say, your wallpaper for a photoshoot gets stuck in Kentucky because of a snowstorm. This is what happened to me yesterday. They recently launched an e-commerce site that is so beautifully comprehensive (some of their rolls date back to the 1880s) and easy to use that I’m now trying to come up with a home project just so I can get this 50s faux-tuffed wallpaper.

This spring Tommy Hilfiger will be the ninth recipient of the Philadelphia University Spirit of Design award. He will accept the award at the Academy of Music on April 30 during the Philadelphia University Fashion Show as part of the universitys gala, Evening of Innovation. According to PhilaU Today Hilfiger is very honored to be receiving the award. Hilfiger also said, I think it is incredibly important to give back and to support new designers interested in working in the fashion industry.” Previous recipients of the award include Geoffrey Beene and Phillys own Jay McCarroll.
